Our wood comes from trusted U.S. suppliers such as Baillie Lumber (New York), Northwest Hardwoods (Washington), and Interfor (Georgia). By working with these suppliers, we make sure that our products have clear origins and lasting quality.

Our Business Model

Lyliapew was established in 2024 at our current address in Abilene, Texas. We follow a direct-to-customer model: products go straight from our workshop to the buyer without middlemen. This lets us keep prices fair, respond quickly to requests, and maintain control over quality.

Our workshop is small but equipped with the necessary tools, including a CNC machine for accurate cuts, sanding equipment, a finishing room for oils and protective coatings, and a small showroom space.

Our customers are usually people who appreciate handmade work, especially in the U.S. market, often between the ages of 28 and 45, looking for rustic, natural, and sustainable furniture that feels personal.

Our Products – Tree-Shaped Wooden Bookshelves

The heart of Lyliapew is the handmade tree-shaped bookshelf. We make two main types of products.

The first is our ready-made collection: free-standing bookshelves, wall-mounted designs, and artistic models that we keep in stock for quick shipping.

The second is custom orders. Customers can request changes in size, shape, finish, or even add carvings. Every bookshelf is made from carefully selected wood such as pine, oak, or driftwood. Each piece is treated to resist pests, coated with natural oil for protection, and built to last for many years with proper care.

Production & Quality Control

At Lyliapew, we treat every bookshelf as a long process rather than a quick product. From the moment the raw wood arrives at our workshop until the moment it leaves for the customer, each stage is carefully handled to ensure reliability and consistency.

When wood is delivered from our suppliers, every batch is first examined for moisture content, grain quality, and strength. Boards that do not meet our standards are set aside and never used.

The next step is shaping the wood. For structural parts, we use CNC cutting machines to achieve accuracy. For branch-like details, we combine CNC work with hand-carving, giving each piece both precision and a natural feel. After cutting, every edge is sanded by hand, moving from coarse to fine grit for a smooth finish.

Each shelf is then coated with protective oils or varnish to highlight the wood grain and protect against humidity and wear. Oils are applied in layers, with drying time between coats, to ensure long-lasting protection.

Before shipping, we run a full inspection checklist: testing joint strength, balance, and surface quality. For wall-mounted designs, we also check the mounting system for safety. Only after passing this review does a product move to packaging.

For custom orders, the process is even more detailed: listen to the request → make a draft design → review with the customer → build step by step → finish → final inspection.

This careful approach means our production speed is not the fastest, but our quality is consistent. Every bookshelf leaving Lyliapew is strong, functional, and made to last for years.
